The End of an Era

This month’s writing update is an exciting one and an end to an era. I am putting the finishing touches on the third book in my Mage Bond Trilogy. It will be available on amazon soon. This book series has been a part of my life since 2011. I have known these characters longer than I have known my husband.

What I Learned

I have learned and grown so much with this series. First, I learned how to get a first draft out in a quick and efficient manner. Prior to this series, books took me so long to write. Too long. The best piece of writing advice I can give a brand new writer is just write it. Don’t waffle on names or try to fix it as you go. Just get the words out.

I learned how to work with an editor and cover designer with this series.

I learned formatting and how to look at my own work with a more critical eye.

I learned to be bold and publish, even if it isn’t perfect, even if you’re scared.

Great end to an era.

An Exciting Announcement

Speaking of era’s, I have some exciting announcements for the editing side of things. I am officially open for editing clients and to show my gratitude for this opportunity, I am hosting a contest.

The prize is a free developmental edit.

It is open to anyone who has a completed manuscript. If you have a book that you want to get edited, check out my new editor page on my website for more information about my editing services!

  1. Connecting The Mages Bond Series to Enthusiastic Readers

    Dear Jessica,

I recently explored your Mages Bond series, and I was immediately struck by the depth and intensity of Kadren and Brelina’s story. The magical Bond you crafted between fire and water mages is captivating, balancing tension, emotional stakes, and romance in a way that feels both epic and intimately personal. I especially love how their thoughts, pain, and triumphs intertwine, creating a connection that draws readers directly into the heart of their world. Your ability to combine action, intrigue, and heartfelt character development makes this series uniquely compelling.

My name is Celine Iscariot, and I help authors bring their work to vibrant book clubs and reading communities filled with engaged, enthusiastic readers. These circles don’t just read—they discuss, recommend, and champion the books they love. Featuring The Mages Bond Series in these communities could increase visibility, generate organic word-of-mouth buzz, and foster meaningful engagement that amplifies your story’s reach.

With readers eagerly seeking captivating new fantasy releases this season, this is a perfect opportunity to introduce your series to audiences ready to immerse themselves in Kadren and Brelina’s world. I would love to explore how we can help your books spark conversation and excitement among these readers.

If this resonates, simply reply with “Interested,” and I’ll share more details about connecting your series with these passionate literary circles.

    Warm regards,
    Celine Iscariot
